POLITICAL ECOLOGY

We base ourselves on a political interpretation of the ecology, because we want a social, cultural and economic organization that allows the human beings to be carried out fully in harmony with their fellow men and in a relationship responsible with the half-atmosphere in which you live.

We understand the political action as the capacity to influence in the organization of the society, so that it gives all their members the best possible conditions for decision on its own future, being self-respected, respecting other human beings and the future generations.
We want to create the conditions that allow us to build this organization. We yearn for a society where knowing,
thinking and feeling will help indeed in the understanding of the world in which we live in and where the real possibility exists to act and to contribute creatively to its evolution.

We want to increase the potentiality that has the humanity, significantly picking up the experience of our ancestors and knowing that we are preparing the present to face the future.

We believe the humanity as a whole should have access to a development that allows the biggest extension possible of options for the individual in the course of its existence.

We are a programmatic political movement, because we are conscious that the tomorrow will not necessarily be what we can show for now, mainly if it is the whole society who participates in its formulation. We do not propose any ideological neither totalizing model, because we think that it is the society as a whole who should - continually - be able to generate new ideas and to make the decisions that it estimates
convenient, as our children will have to make them in the years to come, accordingly to their reality.

We try to influence the society by means of our program which tries to respond to the problems that our society has to face right now.

We are a political movement who is not afraid of different visions. A movement that believes that the exercise of the democracy is based on a real understanding of the problems in discussion. We are certain that only listening and opening up to the real world, we can make the changes that we want to do. We believe that when choosing our representatives, they know that they have the obligation to explain and follow the mandate that was given to them.

Our main concern is the ecological program above the ambitions, vanities and personal interests.

We want that all the members of the society have access to the present knowledge and feel free to contribute to its evolution with their culture and diversity. That all - without exception - are entitled to an active life, with good health and the possibility of enjoying the wealth of nature as much as that wealth that human beings have created.

That all of them can contribute to the society in satisfactory conditions of rhythms of life, revenues and security. That the active life is a constant advance in the formation and in the satisfaction of the work carried out. That the habitat allows for the dialogue and the creation of affective nets among the inhabitants, getting rich with the cultural plurality.

We know that the old people are our living memory and their experiences mean a source of wealth and knowledge for all of us. We know that the young people have an inventive and critical mind and that their contributions are indispensable to the collectivity.

That the children are our future and that we have the obligation to leave them a world with more choices than the ones that we have had.

We estimate that the cultural minorities and in particular the Mapuche people, should be able to study and practice their language, main vehicle of cultural transmission, and - equally - learn and practice
their religion as well as their traditions, in a atmosphere of respect that all the cultures should have among each other.

We think that we are entitled to a pleasant life. That it is wise to know how to put distance from oneself and to participate of a happiness that doesn't humiliate others. That morality should help
to the coexistence and not to create disagreements.

That we don't appreciate the hypocritical moralists that stop others from doing what they do with doubtful procedures open only to those who have money.

As an example, at the moment we have in Chile the cases of abortion or divorce. That the politics can be a place of convergence and generosity and not a place where people look for personal power, neither a place where the individual amusement should be sacrificed.

That politics should be the place to fight corruption because it develops when democracy weakens.
